(Ad-Dukhan) 44 : 37

Are they better or the people of Thubba’ and those before them? We destroyed them; indeed, they were Mujirims.

Thubba’ was the nickname of the kings of the Himyar tribe who ruled southern Arabia till A.D. 300. Any people are destroyed when they become Mujirims by not utilising their intelligence for understanding the aim of life. Verse 7:84 ends with the command: “See what was the consequence of the Mujirims.” When the other people of Messenger Muhammad’s community also become the Mujirims and wrongdoers—just like the Arabic Quran reading Fujjar of today—the Doomsday will happen. See explanation 6:55; 7:40; 10:17; 29:69; and 36:59-62.
